For our report, we’ll be looking at the ingredients and side effects, along with our overall view and how think this supplement could be improved.
We’ll give you the information and our views, and the rest is up to you.
How are the Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep ingredients?
It’s very much an ‘essentials only’ supplement. By that we mean there’s only 3 ingredients, but they have been chosen carefully.
There’s no filler in this supplement, but by the same token, there’s no room for error. Every ingredient has to count for a better night’s sleep.
We’ve seen other supplements take a similar approach and pull it off, and we feel Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep does some degree, but improvements could be made.
Below, we look closer at the nutrient profile and give you our opinion:
A good, reliable start to Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep. Although it doesn’t promote sleep directly, L-Theanine can help here in other ways.
Commonly found in herbs like Green Tea, this amino acid is effective for promoting your levels of the hormone GABA. GABA increases your body’s levels of relaxation and reduces anxiety.
In doing so, L-Theanine can help get you into a better state of mind that is ideal for a night’s sleep.
This is another great choice in Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep. We’re huge fans of 5-HTP in sleep supplements, mainly because it helps to promote melatonin.
Melatonin is your body’s natural sleep hormone. It regulates your sleep and even helps with your sleeping patterns.
Once supplemented, your body converts 5-HTP into serotonin which is your body’s feel-good hormone. It can help to raise your mood. This serotonin is later converted into melatonin.
It gives you the best of both worlds here, you get a boost in mood and an improvement in your sleep quality. What’s more the melatonin that you produce is made naturally by your body, making it much more potent.
To help along the process, there’s even some melatonin in Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep.
As we’ve already said, Melatonin is your body’s sleep hormone. By optimizing your levels, it can help you have a better night’s sleep.
However, we do have some concerns with the Melatonin in Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep. The main reason is that we don’t know if it is natural melatonin or not. Most sleep supplements use synthetic versions of it rather than the real deal.
If this is the case, the Melatonin may not be as effective as it appears to be. A natural option would be better. More companies are turning to Tart Cherries at the moment as they contain a completely natural source which is easy for your body to absorb.
Ingredients Profile Summary
As you can see, there are some good ingredients here in Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep by Natural Factors. The L-Theanine is great for boosting GABA and getting you into that sleep-ready state. 5-HTP is good for melatonin, and the melatonin is well, melatonin.
The only argument we have against it is that the Melatonin in here may not be from natural sources, which may affect the overall effectiveness.
What’s more is that there isn’t an ingredient in here to help with any overnight disturbances caused by twitches or jerking. Magnesium would be a good option for that as it can help to relax impulse across your nervous system. This can stop you moving in the night and allow you to have more time sleeping with less chance of waking yourself up.
Aside from that it is a concise supplement, which focuses only on what works – and that’s what we like about it.
Is Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep safe?
We think so, but it doesn’t hurt to check with your doctor before using it.
There’s only three ingredients in here, all appropriately dosed without side effects linked to them.
We haven’t heard any reports of it causing problems, but we do always believe that medical advice first wouldn’t be a bad thing to do.
It’s also worth ensuring you don’t have any preexisting conditions or allergies that would fare poorly with this supplement.
Aside that we’d say you’re good to go.
Stress Relax Tranquil Sleep Summary
On the whole, this is a stripped back sleep supplement offering only the essentials – and does a good job of it.
We have our reservations given the Melatonin’s origin, and that there’s nothing in here to help reduce overnight disturbances and twitches like magnesium – but aside from that it’s okay.
This isn’t the best option on the market that we’ve seen for sleep supplements. However it should have some effect when it comes to bedding down for the night.
